Effective: May 2026
Kariant maintains strict standards regarding earnings claims and financial performance representations made on the platform. This policy applies to franchisors, advertisers, users, and all content published or generated through Kariant, including AI-generated analyses.
The following types of claims are prohibited on the Kariant platform unless properly substantiated and disclosed in accordance with applicable law:
Under the FTC Franchise Rule, a franchisor may only make financial performance representations (commonly referred to as "Item 19" disclosures) if the information is included in Item 19 of the franchisor's Franchise Disclosure Document. Any financial performance representation must have a reasonable basis, and the franchisor must make available to the prospective franchisee the substantiating data upon which the claim is based. Claims made outside the FDD are a violation of federal law.
Kariant actively monitors and reviews content for non-compliant financial performance claims. Listings, reviews, comments, and AI-generated content that contain unsubstantiated earnings claims are subject to removal, correction, or flagging. Repeat violations may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
If you encounter an earnings claim or financial performance representation on Kariant that you believe is misleading, unsubstantiated, or non-compliant, please report it to compliance@kariant.app. All reports are reviewed and addressed within five business days.
